First of all we're in love with brazilian Music. What other world source ranges the elegance of Bossa Nova and the explosion of Maracatu? Sambaś sensuality and Frevo's energy? Chorinho's sophistication and Funk Cariocaś tribalismo? It's time to overflow all this melodic and rhythmic richness to all the corners of the globe through the most democratic of medias, no middlemen, no interferences, leaving behind traditional music industry.
We act as a bridge for a new culture, where recreating, remixing and sampling are activities capable of elevating society's creative potential. It's time to dust off the gems forgotten in your hard drives and turn them into sellable goods.
After registering at ORITMO, musicians can upload music bits (beats, riffs, solos, samples) or entire songs (backgrounds or full tracks), categorize them, precify them, and make them available for downloading by anyone, whether a brazilian music lover or a professional who'll use it as a piece in a new song. Each file will be offered in the author's store, the rhythm's store, the instrument, the region and the sound type. The musician can still prepare bundles with more than one sound and can define whether or not that file can be used commercially. The author keeps 60% over each sale.
When you purchase a music file at ORITMO, you will receive a license that guarantees usage in supported manner, legally signed by the author. A swedish DJ can create the new dancefloor hit from the samba-de-coco beat of a tambourine created in Pernambuco's sertão. The soundtrack of an indian movies can use a choro mandolin as base. The options are endless.
When uploading his sound to ORITMO, the artist accepts a term where he guarantees its authorship. Our team reserves the right to refuse files due to bad sound quality or artistic detachment from acceptable standards. We also establish maximum duration limits for each track. We suggest price ranges that should serve as basis, not requirements.
When a file is uploaded, our system creates a 30 second sample that can be freely listened to before being purchased. We also apply an audible watermark to the sample in order to protect it from illegal copying, so the artist doesn't need to worry about it.
Besides being a bunch of music lovers, our team counts with professionals from different backgrounds. To get in touch, send an email.
